My first experience of the Appalachian trail occurred in 1957 on a hike from
a summer camp. My active involvement began in 1989 with participation in a
work day as part of the Cumberland Valley relocation. I joined the
Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club soon after it was formed and
continued participating in the monthly workdays. Since 1995 I have
maintained a section of the Trail for CVATC, and I currently serve on the
CVATC board.

I am also a member of ATC, KTA and the Susquehanna Appalachian Trail Club.
I lead hikes for both CVATC and SATC and have organized hiking trips offered
in the two clubs. I've developed a slide show for CVATC and helped revamp
the display board for SATC.

I live in Harrisburg and work in data processing, but in a more analytical
than technical role.
