Hello all.

I=92ve been nominated by the PATC to serve as our organization=92s
representative to the Regional Partnership Committee.  Thyra asked me to
send a brief bio to the group.

I=92ve been an AT hiker for about 35 years and an active PATC member for =
about
a decade.  I=92ve served as a PATC District Manager (responsible for =
managing
trail overseers, working on the section from Thornton Gap to Swift Run =
Gap
in Shenandoah National Park) since 1996.  I=92ve also led a PATC Trail =
Crew,
and have served as an AT overseer during the same period.  From 1999 =
through
2002, I served as the PATC Supervisor of Trails (responsible for approx.
1000 miles of PATC-maintained hiking trails), as a member of the PATC
Executive Committee and the PATC Council.  I=92ve worked with the ATC
Konnarock Crew and the ATC Mid Atlantic Crew, and have led PATC =
week-long
summer crews for the past 7 years.  In addition to trail work, I=92ve =
served
as a PATC hut overseer, a PATC cabin overseer, and a contributor to the =
PATC
newsletter.  I=92m employed as a microbiologist at Walter Reed Army =
Medical
Center, and reside in College Park, MD.
