Thanks for your comments.  On your points 1 and (first) 3, I kept the old
terminology in section I because it quotes another document. I expect that
we'll change the names at an appropriate time.

Point 2:  The draft has no term limits for the Vice Chair and Secretary.
Please bring this up in the meeting for the group to consider.  I've
presented the draft as a basis to work from, and my expectation is that the
committee will make changes.  This might be one of them.

(Second) point 3:  I tried to use representatives (uncapitalized) to refer
generically to either the Representative or Alternate, which were
capitalized to refer to the specific roles.

Points 4 and 5:  I'll make these changes in the draft to be presented at the
meeting.

  I sent these comments off this morning to the wrong email address.  I'm
sorry they are late.

  1. The name of the Trail Stewardship Council has been changed to
Stewardship Council.
  2. I think that I would prefer that the Chair serve for only two terms and
that two persons from the same Club should not succeed each other as chair.

  2. Are there term limits for the Vice Chair and Secretary?  I think that
there should be so that positions can be rotated.

  3. The name Appalachian Trail Conference will change to Appalachian Trail
Conservancy in July.  I am not sure how this should be reflected in these
bylaws (or if it needs to be).

  3. The words Representative and Representatives are sometimes capitalized
and sometimes not.  Is their a difference in the usage when capitalized?

  4. In part IV, paragraph 2, could this be changed to "The presence (in
person or by teleconference) of the Representative or Alternate of at least
2/3 ... "

  5. In part IV, paragrah 3, likewise the last sentence "Responses from 2/3
of the Representatives, or the Alternate if a Representative is not able to
respond, by the deadline ... "
