Hi All, I've been enjoying the "give and take" of ideas AND getting to get an idea about most of you via the bios. My own ideas to share before Saturday:1) Let's think "outside the box" on Chair,Vice Chair, and Secretary. To free us from the election process(Nominating committee, campaigning, actual election) and allow us to do the important work RPC can do,I propose three year terms(or 4?) with a two term limit. Most of us on RPC are long-term,committed volunteers.Continuity of leadership to lead RPC and to work with Karen is an important consideration.Too frequent elections are too time consuming for a body that plans to meet in person twice a year! Should we put in a provision that one club can't hold the same office for more than 2 consecutive terms? This will aid the rotation of Officers between the clubs. Are all 24 of us(reps. and alternates)eligible to be elected? This would increase the "pool" from which we choose our Officers and Stewardship Council Rep(s). 2) Voting should be limited to one club-one vote(12),with building concensus with our agency partners the preferred route to make a decision. In Pa.,we have the Gov.'s A.T. Advisory Board where A.T.C.,club's and agencies meet.Let's try and keep RPC "club-issues-focused".I'm looking forward to Saturday! Scott Birchman Alternate Rep. B.M.E.C.C.
