Your comments have been very interesting and informative. I personally have
not had all of the trail maintenance committee experiences that many of you
have had but do have enough work experiences with ATC and NPS to know well
what you are speaking of. And I do agree with Walt Daniels, in part at
least, that the more useful voices that can be brought into our mix of
ideas, the better. I guess we will feel our way in the direction we'll end
up going in. 

Mike Kintner, it will be very nice to meet you. I have heard of and read
about your AT work with the Wilmington Club and conquest of the AT - as
reported by the Delaware County Daily Times (in PA) - in past years. I went
down to two Shepherdstown, W. VA meetings with Tony Belfiglio in 2002 and
2003. Nice guy, Tony. I also happen belong to the Wilmington Club, have led
5-6 hikes for the club in recent years and like the people in it a good bit.
