There is going to be a resistance to change factor in some of the
smaller clubs in this regard. There is a (completely understandable)
desire to keep club business as simple as possible. If being in the
club starts to look as political and complex as other aspects of
life, a main point of being in the club (to find a respite from these
sorts of things) will be defeated. We will lose members.
I think the trick will be to approach those whom we feel wouldn't
mind being involved behind the scenes, get them involved, and keep
discussion at club meetings as brief as possible. At least, that is
what I plan to do -- unless Barb has other ideas. :)
